"Period." is a small reflex/speed game, in which the goal is to unpack as many sanitary products as possible, as quickly as possible in order to get a great score.
The scoring calculation take the number of protections unpacked, the speed of the movement made as well as the errors that can be done into acount.
The game includes 5 different types of protection, requiring more or less manipulation to be unpacked (from 1 to 5 actions).
The idea behind Period. comes from a WarioWare-like prototype I made during my scholarship several years ago, which I decided to take further by making it a separate game.

The WarioWare-like that originated the idea for Period.
One of the things I appreciate about this game is the difference depending on the audience testing it, according to their degree of familiarity with the objects presented.
Indeed, many men, unfamiliar with how these sanitary products, find themselves somewhat lost at first since they can't anticipate the next move they'll need to make during their first interactions. On the other hand, most women, accustomed to these devices, can anticipate the next action and therefore only need to familiarize themselves with the controls and end up slightly more efficient during their first game.
Of course, once the discovery phase end, the gap disappear, and only reflexes matters.
Period. also reflects a desire to demystify the taboo surrounding menstrual products, and more generally periods related taboos, by offering a fun and colorful moment.
The game was made using Construct 2 and the art was made with Aseprite.
