Worlds Of Aria

Worlds of Aria is a coop adventure game inspired by tabletop role-playing games that can be played by up to 4 people. It takes place in the Worlds of Aria universe created by FibreTigre.


Players control character miniatures and can interact with various elements sitting on the game table. Various choices are presented to them for each situation, which some may result in having to roll the dices.


The game is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 5, Xbox and Mac.


I joined the team as a narrative design intern and mostly worked on the staging of narrative elements as well as scripting and debugging


My missions on this project:


  • XML scripting: I transformed the narrative structure created on Miro by the narrative designers into an interactive scene using XML in the Ludoscript tool provided by the company (homemade node engine using the script to create scenes that plays under Unity).


  • Staging: using the tabletop grid system I had to place, move, setup the emotes of the characters, change scenery pieces, spawn collectibles or vfx,… accordingly to the narration in order to properly highlight the intentions of it.


  • Debug: using the narrative structure on Miro, I had to ensure that the scene unfolded correctly. Offered the right choices at the right time, and that these choices had the intended effect (including the consequences of dice rolls). If this wasn't the case, I had to check the script's execution and edit it to achieve the desired behavior.
